Filet mignon is a high-end cut of tender, tasty high-quality meat.
Taken from the tenderloin, the filet mignon is the most tender cut available from the bison. This cut is full of flavour and less fatty than other cuts leaving you with a high protein but very tender cut of steak.
Cooking Methods: Grill, Broil, or Pan-Broil
These tender and low-fat cuts of filet mignon cook well on the pan or the grill. The cuts cook much faster than other steaks because of how low they are in fat. Cooking at 5-6 minutes for rare, 6-7 minutes for medium-rare, or 7-8 minutes for medium.
